Senior Manager – Global Tax

Responsibilities:

Second in command of a global tax function

Directly manage;

o U.S., Canada & Switzerland federal, state & local tax compliance functions,

o U.S., Canada & Switzerland income tax accounting function

o U.S. state tax audits (income tax and sales/use tax).

o Assist VP, Global Tax with tax planning, international tax, global consolidated tax provision, transfer pricing, IRS audits, SAP global tax management, oversight of global tax function, and special projects.

o Responsible for compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley procedures

o Foreign subsidiary tax compliance function (Canada and Switzerland – 6 companies)

o Deputy to VP, Global Tax; steps up to cover during absences, steps up to learn all phases of top management role.

Qualifications

o CPA and/or MS in Taxation from an accredited university

o 8-10+ years tax experience, public accounting/private industry mix.

o Strong U.S. federal, state/local tax compliance background.

o Strong tax accounting (FAS 109 and FIN 48) experience.

o Strong U.S. sales tax compliance experience.

o Understanding of Europe VAT compliance.

o International tax experience

o Ability to interface with senior management, external tax advisors and tax auditors and internal departments.

o Knowledge of SAP a plus
